Fellowship Malt 10yoThe Rotary Malt

The Rotary Malt Committee of the Rotary Club of Elgin greatly appreciates the support of over 400 Clubs from throughout RIBI and Clubs in 26 Countries across the globe that have been purchasing The Rotary Malt. They have all helped to raise in excess of £80,000 for the benefit of Foundation enabling over 200,000 children to be immunised against Polio.

However, as a result of RI Legislation, there had to be major changes to the Project.

After careful thought, and as a direct result of the success of the Project, The Rotary Club of Elgin (with agreement from RI) re-launched the Project under another name. The Rotary Malt is now no longer available.

The Fellowship Malt

To allow us to continue, a change of the product name was required. What better than to go for The Fellowship Malt. The Project was re-launched under the new name on 1 July 2004.

The good news to Rotarians is that the whisky itself will be the exact same spirit as The Rotary Malt – one of the best single malts from Speyside. All profits from The Fellowship Malt will be passed to Rotary Foundation and we ensure there will be no conflict with any RI Legislation. This ensures that all money raised by Rotarians goes straight to Foundation.

After negotiations with the Distiller, we have reached an agreement for the price of this excellent malt to remain constant until 2006. Unfortunately, warehousing and transport charges have escalated since the original price was fixed in 2001 making an increase in price unavoidable.

The Fellowship Malt is now available at £21.00 per bottle with free delivery for 6 or 12 bottles. Individual bottles and multiples require an extra £5.75 for additional Packing and Posting. We are now in a position to accept payment by credit card as well as cash or cheque. VAT invoices are available on request. For every bottle we sell, £2.45 goes to Foundation (enabling 9 children to be immunised).

In addition to its newly designed label each bottle bears the inscription, “The Fellowship Malt is a fine 10 year old Speyside, Single Malt and your purchase will help The Rotary Foundation towards its goal worldwide. Thank you for your support.”

The Fellowship Malt is ideal for –

• AQUABOX RIBI PROJECT SHEET 1999

Project Name: AQUABOX

AQUABOX is an official project of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland and Rotary International District 1220, managed by its initiators, the Rotary Club of Wirksworth in Derbyshire.

Formerly operated under the provisions of The Barrie Griffiths Rotary Trust (Registered Charity No. 1015854) which is a memorial trust of the Rotary Club of Wirksworth, AQUABOX has now been established as a Charitable Company, Limited by Guarantee. It is under the provisions of the charitable status that we seek a donation in return for the box rather than making an outright sale.

Project Goal : To provide in the wake of both man made and natural disasters a rapid response provision of safe drinking water and welfare aid items.

Rotary Service Type: Involves either funding, organized collection or a combination of both.

Unique Selling Proposition : An inexpensive ( under 1p per litre ) easily transported and simple to operate method of restoring safe drinking water thus helping to minimize the outbreak of disease.

The scheme is operated entirely by unpaid volunteers. With the exception of warehousing, promotional and communications costs and annual professional charges, it has no overheads.
